Privacy notice
This notice explains, in plain English, what happens to your details when you use Asbestos Enquiries Plymouth. Last updated: 21 October 2026.
Who we are
The data controller is Where's Jeff Ltd, a company registered in Jersey (company number 166061). You can contact us about your data at hello@asbestosenquiriesplymouth.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the postcode of the property
- what you need (survey, testing, removal or not sure) and your description of the job
- anything you tell us about photos
- the page you sent the enquiry from and the date and time
Please don't include health information or anything about other people that isn't needed for the job.
Why we collect it
To pass your enquiry to a local asbestos contractor so they can contact you about it and give you a quote, and to keep a record that we did so.
Our lawful basis
We pass your details to the contractor because you asked us to, by sending the form, so they can reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (yours and ours): getting your enquiry answered. You can object at any time by contacting us. This won't affect anything already passed on, but we will stop using your details and ask the contractor to do the same. We keep a record of enquiries we have passed on because it is in our legitimate interests to be able to show what happened to each enquiry and answer any questions about it.
Who we share it with
We share your enquiry with one contractor only: an independent local firm that holds an HSE asbestos licence. They use it to contact you and quote, and they become responsible for your details under their own privacy notice once they have them.
We also use service providers to run this website and handle the form: Cloudflare, which hosts the website and handles and stores the form. They process data on our behalf. Some of them may store data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires.
We do not sell your details or add you to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for 12 months from the date of your enquiry, then delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Contact us at hello@asbestosenquiriesplymouth.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
